Well I live in a town so it’s sort of country but not really but I wouldn’t move to the city so I’m not really a city girl.

For complicated reasons my Daughter is trying to convince us to combine properties and live with them. I suppose I should be proud since we extended our home years ago to accomodate first my Mother in Law, then later my Mother. So chip off the old block and all that. But at we age and want more medical and other support services, her options are all out of town and something less convenient than our current position.. And she has more children to house than we did,, making moving in with us here impractical. Here are a couple of her options that look OK. But are just too far out.

@Adaydreambeliever They are lovely places. But we currently have a major Hospital with ICU and even transplant facilities ten minutes away and a regional shopping centre with 3 Supermarkets 200 M from the front door. plus doctors, dentists and even a vet a couple of minutes walk. The position is hard to replace. I asked my wife if you could move in with us instead. But she said "No". 😉 She is Scottish..

@whowasthatmaskedman LOL I like Scottish people, I am sure I could change her mind. But seriously, I don't plan on needing a transplant, and I hate shopping, so I think I'd be ok with either of the properties you showed.

@Adaydreambeliever Dont get me wrong. I love the idea myself. But wife has medical issues on a few fronts that would complicate life unbelievably, . Particularly moving betweenRural and city lockdown rules. Plus she does best with the familiar right now. If it was just me I would be in Drouin in a heartbeat, watching the Swimming Pool being built in the back yard.
I want to live out in the woods away from the world. And once I am there i will want to live in the city again. Eventually.

I definitely have thought about it. I'm really shy and like the wilderness a lot.

I used to live in the countryside, on a farm. I miss it terribly, but my job is here. If I didn't have to carry a profession, I'd just live in the countryside, and do nothing but write and make quilts. Heaven for me.

@silentwriter180 that sounds peaceful

New York is where I'd rather stay. I'm allergic to the smell of hay.

@DCarey Oh okay. It’s best if you didn’t move to the countryside.
