There’s some GREAT people on here. Fun to talk to. And then there are the ones who make this place see like it is full of trolls. Look for the good ones. They surface quickly...as do the trolls.

I agree, there are great people on here. Smart ones, too. But for several months, all it was was politics and voting and-pro-Trump. Now it's people trying to "hook up" with one another stranger they have never met before, or worse, "sugar daddies" or "mommies". These desperate people will take up with anyone who looks at them crosseyed. Thwy don't know who they are.

Everybody lately is either out looking for a date or a "sugar daddy" - and people are responding to virtual strangers. The Internet is not "The Dating Game" but folks are chasing each other like crazy and looking for - what?
This is as dangerous at it always was. Use your smarts and stay safe!

It's been a while since I've looked at the settings. From what you're saying they've changed it. It wasn't so blatant. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some I guess) it's evolved into something else entirely.
That is one part of actually “dating in person” tells you way more about compatibility then all those hours and hours of chatting on line does.as far as being let down I don’t think there’s ever an easy answer for everyone involved. My opinion is to be as honest as possible from the very beginning, show your true self and expect them to do the same ( they may not so you do have to be careful ) it sometimes hurts but sadly that is life . You could make a great connection also but you’ll never know if you don’t risk it a little..@Keepitsimple]

I don't believe so. There are sites tailor-made for that. Although I am aware of some people developing relationships here, even to the point of marriage.

@TheConstantGardener On a different site, I once asked about people who met from far away and fell in love. The responses were amazing and showed anything was possible. That still makes my heart smile. :) I'm just not here for dating or flirting. We all have stages in life and I'm just not at the flirting and dating one now.

@SW-User I don't want a dating site either. I prefer to learn, maybe meet a few friends and hopefully not have my inbox full of those wishing for more.
