Today I learned....Interpolation!

Today I learned that when it comes to the song “Look what you made me do by Taylor Swift.

I learned that she and the songwriters had to give credit to Right Said Fred, the singers of the 1991 hit, I’m too sexy. This is because of something called interpolation. The chorus to Swift’s song is set to the same melody as I’m too sexy.....

Have a listen and see if you see the similarity!

I don't quite hear it as similar to the other song. I need to listen to the other song again.

It’s only the melody, of the chorus. Listen to the part of song where she actually says “look what you made me do”. When you listen to that section, your ears hear 2 “sequences of sounds” first you hear the backbeat (boom, boom boom clap, boom boom clap). Listen to the chorus and listen to see if you can clap and stomp to the back beat of the chorus, do not pay attention to the words she’s saying...let me know if you can stomp/clap It out.

@XenonRush sorta, you'd have to really just hear that one part over and over without singing to see if it's the same.. at least enough to give credit to someone else
