I got a traffic ticket - Failure to Inspect

One of those all stop things where they check everyone's inspection sticker. Do you need to update your car's inspection sticker?

Inspection is a joke but I need a new windshield apparently where I live it’s grounds for road pirates to impound your vehicle
justanothername · 51-55, M
@Ozuye502 ideally, yes. But when there’s a shortage of rental properties and the rental rates are sky high…
Ozuye502 · 36-40, M
@justanothername well you have to look at why rental rates are so high. The property owner has to turn a profit. Between what is covered in the rent (mostly heat and water) but taxes play a huge role in that as well especially in places like New Jersey New York California (any liberal run state/city) where property taxes and income taxes are astonishingly high. The demand plays a little role as well but not necessarily.

@Ozuye502 Investment opportunity vs what the banks will pay in interest on a term deposit aka fuck all.

You need to get a safety inspection on a regular basis whenever you have to renew your license plates. It used to be every year here, but they've changed it to every two years.

I have no idea what you're talking about.
HannahSky · F
@Penny they only thing I do is registration renewal every year and get new stickers. I don't need smog so it's only renewal. There's no real safety involved 🤷‍♀️

@HannahSky i dont know lol
HannahSky · F
@Penny every state is different I guess lol

I'm up to date. In New Hampshire, they make inspection and registration due during your birthday month. It's a system that works pretty well. Most people don't forget.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
In Illinois you have to or it's a $90 fine. Happened to me a year and a half ago.
Penny · 46-50, F
@SubstantialKick Mine's $131. sheesh
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
In this state you have to pay to prove your vehicle is roadworthy on roads that are not vehicle worthy.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I am up to date on that, but I did make that mistake once in the past.
Driver2 · M
Yes , you have like 30 days or so I think.
eyeno · M
That's a definite Affirmative.
ScottR · 56-60, M
Yes. That’s an annual requirement.
