I love going to malls. If I wanna buy something such as clothes or shoes, I could try them on. No hassle returning. And also takes me out of the house.
@Stereoguy I don’t regret the experience. I gained a ton of patience and interpersonal skills along the way. And it got me to where I am now. I just knew when my mental health began to suffer that I needed to get out before I became one of the long timers who was a little dead inside.
I grew up next to a mall, and it was like my personal playground. I worked in the mall at the movie theater, when I got old enough. I spent vast amounts of time at the bookstore and arcade. Orange Julius, the head shop, all the department stores were like my personal closets.
These days, I shop for everything online, because there's more variety and better prices, plus I save on gas and time.
I hate malls. I haven't been in one in about 20 years, and that was only because I worked across the street from one and sometimes I went over there for lunch. And I don't shop online.
I don't mind the mall, especially when I find things that I may not have searched for online. If I have something specific, it's easier to look it up online, but if it's at a store/mall close to me, I will opt to pick it up rather than have it shipped.
@Stereoguy Yes, indeed. And, you sometimes find sales that you didn't anticipate. I did with the jacket that I bought, a similar one to others that I own, but a different color.
They're full of zombies & screaming children hahah the only time I go is if I need a specific item & there's nowhere else to go

I don't like malls and I don't like shopping online for many things either. I shop smaller stores where it's not so crowded or I have to walk ten miles to reach the one store I might be interested in. I exaggerated, but that can be how it feels! lol Online shopping for many things is a lot of returns because things just aren't what they say.
Not so much and it’s been years since I’ve been to a large indoors mall. We have an outdoors mall here with a lot of stores and I only go when I need something, I don’t generally go to browse around.
@Stereoguy Yeah I use to go to Service Merchandise about 40 years ago because they had a catalog they sent to everyone and I would be in the market for something in the catalog such as a meat smoker or a gift and it was in the mall, and I’d walk around with my daughter, we’d get a drink and a pretzel or stop at Chick-Fil-A if it wasn’t on a Sunday. I also got my eyeglasses at a store in the mall but they’ve went out of business so I can’t shop there now and Sears has gone out too. I think the last time I went to the mall was to look for a pair of capri pants in a cool fabric and they had none, that was probably 3 years ago or more.
@Stereoguy yes and I like looking at people and things. I usually leave empty handed, unless I am with my child then she'll have items, but other then that I usually don't buy items.
This was ours back in my old home town.Long gone now.[image deleted]A friend of ours was over Christmas of 2019 and baked a delicious ham and brought his own electric knife to cut it up. It was still in the box and I said, “No way!” and snapped a photo of it. Note the name on the bottom.
