There are a lot of people that derive happiness from other people's pain...

Why are people so unhappy?
How can we resolve this?

You give bamboo.., I 😁

People are unhappy because we are living in a more and more violent world where they listen to meaningless garbage all day long on line becoming more and more concerned about self than helping others. A few generations ago people were going to church, stayed married, and the world was less violent. Kids nowadays are confused who they are, why they are here, and what to do with their lives. We get joy from focusing on others more than ourselves. Many young people have parents who are divorced, no family unity, childhood traumas from that, and left to play online games or watch TV. I wish kids would be involved with sports, going to the beach, or grandparents for their summer vacations.
love baby ..... peace & love 😹

@lovelywarpedlemon haha im a peaceful happy enough type of person. I greet people and I'm friendly too.
I find that people are just hell bent on ruining people. Their failure seems to give them strength

History is full of prisons and prisoners and further back the lash and the stocks. Slavery is there at the center-. Servitude without the freedom to not serve. Now we serve corporations and call the cops on the homeless.
@Stopmakingsense or people who need medical care (true story) or are so lonely they called the crisis helpline and they were just so busy....(another true story)

We can't "fix" people. We can be supportive but ultimately it's their choice on how they want to live
It wasn't always a "thing" in some places in the past and even now too. This empathy stuff I mean.

Whats to resolve? Each has to live the best they can and if you feel empathy make the most of it... many will probably love you for it.
@Mellowgirl well I thought u would get that too. Is is so normal to be stuck on a routine detail for hours at a time? and without wanting and needing to do something else?

Is this the best way to employ peoples abilities?

or is it about something else, like someone else with way more money than you (how did they get THAT?) dictating how the rest of the world should behave to keep the money where it supposedly belongs?

@Elevatorpitches I'm enjoying listening to what you have to say. I actually find your mind fascinating. Hence the questions.
@MellowgirlThank you. I work hard to explain myself and most times the snarkers just rush in to ruin it.🧐

Unfortunately, we can’t. Some people have that lack of empathy, because it’s more then them being miserable themselves (although that factors into it). But sometimes folks can maintain some level of humanity. They know how it feels to hurt and don’t want to be responsible for hurting others.

@bijouxbroussard I don't get it, even when some people claim they have a decent life, they still have a laugh at someone else's misfortune.
It's really scary.
@Mellowgirl Yes, people who are easily cruel are indeed frightening. 🙁
