Do you believe that we keep ourselves prisoners to our own, failing health?

OK and I know I'll cause offense here.
But something like anxiety. I have and had treatment for in the past.

But when I spoke to a therapist she told me to always try the grounding technique.
Then once calm work backwards in rationalising what I experienced so I can find the route cause.

My anxiety is triggered by my pcos and anaemia due to hormones and low iron.

But certain fears are triggered due to my ptsd.

Cbt tells me to push through and keep trying a task i set a little everyday.

I know this might not work for everyone.

I just wondered if you agree whether we are actively trying to find help is that more effective simply because of the sense of control, urgency and desire to get rid of certain feelings, pains etc.

I think it helps if you know the problem. A lot of people don’t and don’t even know where to start looking for it
