Please say honestly was I being a coward or not? I won't feel bad answer anything.

Back in 2015, when I was in 10th grade, I was very popular among my juniors. One afternoon after school hours, while going home, one of the boy named Shashank who was in 9th grade told me to walk with him till his home. But the road was different than from which road I used to walk home but I still agreed because that road connects to the main road. But after we reached near his home I got scared. Thats because the road which connects the main road has another small road where some stray dogs were sitting. Actually 2 months before that day, those stray dogs barked at me and almost attacked me because I was sneaking outside one of my school friend Pradeep's home to surprise him and the dogs felt suspicious of me and barked at me and I ran away screaming and thankfully they didn't bite me but I was still scared. Shashank told "come I will take you till that road." But I was still hesitant seeing those dogs. Suddenly my friend Pradeep's brother Sandeep who was in 11th grade told me "come I will take you till that road nothing will happen, those dogs will not bite you." But I was scared and said no and again went back near the school from where I came from and went to home by the road by which I used to regularly go. Shashank and Sandeep both were calling me but I walked away fast.
