stories from my mom.

She was at a friend's for dinner as a child and they had chickens,the kids all played with.My mom's favorite was cluckie.Well cluckie was missing the day she visited.They sat to dinner and it was chicken.Soon all of the children realized it was cluckie.Everybody cried and no one would eat cluckie.It is a sad story.

I remember animals being raised as 4-H projects. Then came the day they were auctioned off for slaughter. Sure there were a few converts to vegan lifestyle then.

@Butterflykisses24 Most of us that grew up on or near farms were used to having animals slaughtered. It was the ones that moved out to the area that tended to treat their projects as pets.
