Why are we not more vurtuous as humans?

If we saw for a moment through the perspective of an animal, would we not be greatful for our thumbs? The ability to create? Look what we are capable of in both meanings of the saying.

"What a piece of work is a man! How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty! In form and moving how express and admirable! In action how like an angel, in apprehension how like a god! The beauty of the world. The paragon of animals."
Some people are greatful for their thumbs.
Everyone's journey is different, we all know and appreciate different things and at the end of the day we are wild unpredictable animals capable of terrible things...not everybody is going to be nice and greatful...just have to accept that this is the world we live in...if we were perfect then what would be the point at all in anything?

I hear what you're saying but humans are the only species with advanced cognition. Gratefulness is uniquely human. I do think we'd be much better off if we remembered we were animals more than we do though.
