Have you traced your ancestry?

I have been trying this on and off for a few years I stop when the rest of my life gets too busy. But seeing as I am now on bed rest and will have lots of time I'm thinking I want to pick this back up.
Last known bits of information is my grandfather was born in 1929 but I have no record of his birth certificate or death and it remains unclear if his parents were settlers in Mexico from Europe or is they were born there and he was second generation Mexican.
My dads family and especially my grandfather had very European features
Time to start looking again....

It's impossible to completely map your ancestry, but I've been working on mine for 30 years and have made lots of progress. People tend to forget that half of their ancestors are women, whose last names are often not known.

This is very true I've hit plenty of dead ends with the some women either 2-4 generations back because they only list the fathers last name and not their mothers 😅
