It was a basement apartment. With the curtains closed, I never knew if it were day or night. It was damp and cold. I hated it. That should have been a clue that it would never work out with him. Every other one was on the first or ground floor. Only one was on the second floor.

Basement apartment from an old army barracks, right next to the steam boiler room so I was always nice and warm. Even at -30 outside. 😁
Building was 5 stories high and those that lived up there were constantly complaining about being cold. 😆
I paid far less because of it being in the basement!
