Ok. Somebody please help an old boy out !

Can somebody explain to me the difference between a meme; a vine and a gif .
This Internet stuff is all well and good. But us oldies are still trying to catch up !

A meme is just a picture with a caption to make it funny and/or relatable
A vine is a short 8 second video that you can make.
A gif is a few second long video that replays over and over. Some last only a few seconds while others can last even like thirty seconds
