Where has the wonder gone?

My 12 year old niece went to the park today with her friends,great right? 12 year olds that still go to the park? They literally just took a ton of selfies and then left. That's all they do! Now she's on instagram mindlessly looking at the riveting pictures her fellow 12 year old friends who all live in the same area and and go to the same school took.

It's a weird age we live in where everyone wants to be constantly informed about everything that goes on, even if it's unimportant. Humans brains naturally go for that kind of thing. We like information. Now, we live in a time where we have access to all the information we could ever want and then some. So stuff like this happens. It's completely useless, but that's what happens when we don't have anything stimulating to focus our minds on.
