Is it possible to develop ADHD as an adult if you've never had it as a child?

I remember being very calm and a good listener when I was younger. In my mid twenties after post traumatic events in my life, I became very hyper, unable to make decisions that were easy for me before.... I talk very fast and interrupt others. How can someone's personality alter to that extent without wanting to. It's like I've lost self control. I am very self aware so it confuses the heck out of me, but there's little I could do to change my new horrible habits. I've also become OCD where I never cared about before. Is it a mental disorder or ADD

I do not know. I am so sorry things are out of control.

I hope love and lots of hugs may help calm you down. To feel loved and secure.
@JoyfulSilence Thank for always being kind. 🧡🤗

Women tend to be diagnosed with it much later than guys, often in their twenties through forties.
I have symptoms as a side effect of medication. I don't know about it developing naturally though. But brains do change over time so I don't see how it could be impossible.
