Would you cry if you had to live here?

I would cry and be so embarrassed and would feel like a massive failure. I'd never tell a soul my address.

No. I'd be grateful I'm not homeless.

I live in a trailer... I own it.. there is literally nothing to be ashamed of. I am providing a home for my children. We have extra money because we are not paying a huge rent or mortgage... you need to humble yourself
Starchild1983 · 41-45, F
@Addictedtoglamour you clearly know nothing
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Starchild1983 I hope I never have to find out.

No reason to be ashamed of OWNING a mobile home.

Beats paying RENT on something NOT owned.

And usually for less money over the long term.

Then, save that money...pay the mobile home off early by paying extra principal on the loan to avoid paying extra interest on that principal later.

Sell the mobile home..use the cash from that, and from what was saved on interest by paying extra principal, and from what was saved by avoiding high rent payments to put a DOWN PAYMENT on a starter house...and work UP from there.

You might find out later you haven't failed at all, but succeeded.

Just my opinion.
Has it been your experience that the wealthy are better people?

I thought you'd been getting a clue about how close most of us are to being - not in mobile homes - but on the street.
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Mamapolo2016 I'm still clinging on to my home. My health might be starting to fail but I'm not going to down slide any further. I refuse.
kodiac · 22-25, M
In an instant you could be homeless on the street begging for handouts from those same people .
@kodiac exactly!
xSharp · 31-35, M
lets see.. no litter for many sq feet and no drunks fighting in the grass for passerby's to mock, i can see no hookers, no dirty needles on the street, also the grass has clearly been maintained. seems like quite a nice neighborhood compared to mine.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Addictedtoglamour i guess trump supporters keep tidy homes and safe neighborhoods 🤷‍♂️
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@xSharp Hard to say what the interior of the place looks like. It could be scarier the deeper inward you go.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Addictedtoglamour bottom line is, at least their yards are nice
PerfectIllusion · 41-45, F
You probably should be thankful that you arent homeless and living at the mission instead. Why do you have to be so judgmental?
No, most my closest friends live in the trailer park in my town.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Looks better than where I live. And I probably pay three times as much.
Henal · 26-30, F
It’s better than having no home.
RemovedUsername634280 · 41-45, F
Hun remember unless youve bought your home your paying someone elses morgage. So isnt it better to live somewhere where its cheap and have more of your money to do what you want. I used to live in a town house with a massive garden etc i had to give it up not by choice, now i live in a three bedroom flat and im paying pittance in rent. I can now pay for 2 holidays a year (not now because of covid) and i have a lot of dissposable money.
RemovedUsername634280 · 41-45, F
@Addictedtoglamour but its yours and nodody elses. Is it a lot cheaper
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@RemovedUsername634280 Far cheaper though with covid going on it's getting rough around here.
RemovedUsername634280 · 41-45, F
@Addictedtoglamour just bear up and once things calm down a bit take yourself on a holiday with the money you saved from not being in the condo. Not many people have the opurtunity to buy so you are actually very lucky.
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
those are nice ones there some absolute crap trailers that, yes I wouldn't go near.

at the age of 30 I was living on a fixed income, still am, have always managed to rent a place in a solid building.
writhe · 26-30, F
I don't get it. This seems like a spacious place in nature. Quite good.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
With that, you might be on to something. I’d hate to be in the middle of nowhere. I hate the city too. @Addictedtoglamour
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Chevy454 It just makes me feel uneasy.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
I just don’t like to drive more than a mile or 2 for groceries @Addictedtoglamour
curiosi · 61-69, F
There was a trailer park not far from here. A developer wanted the land and offered the residents an ENORMOUS amount of money. They took a vote and it only barely got passed that they take him up on his offer. I was shocked it was something like 1/2 mil each and some voted no?? WTH?
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@curiosi for 1/2 mil I'd be up at out lightning quick.
No, I don’t care about stuff like that. I’ve volunteered with people who are homeless. That makes you humble pretty quick. 😒
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Yes. Not gonna lie.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
I don’t get it. I’m looking at a house right. If they are manufactured homes that’s cool too. Cheaper cost of living. Although some can be quite expensive
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Chevy454 Trailers.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
Yes. Manufactured homes. Nothing wrong with them. There are some shitholes with real bad ones, but most are nice@Addictedtoglamour
Mobile home ? - so you rather live in a doorway or in an ally ?
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@MarmeeMarch I would rather live in a seedy apartment building in the hood.
@Addictedtoglamour Good ! go for it !
silentwriter180 · 51-55, F
Not at all. It's a roof over my head, and looks like it has a place I can go outside and enjoy some sun.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Good starter homes for a new family. No one says you have to live there forever.
Its actually more advanced than where im living now.. too close to the neighbors tho
TAReturns · M
Compared to some apartment rentals Ive seen, that's a castle
Better than living in a cardboard box I think..
kodiac · 22-25, M
@Mandalorian 👍️
Jasondf · M
My people are trailer trash.
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
No. That's ridiculous.
Azlotto · M
No...I grew up in a similar place like that.
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@Azlotto My condolences
Azlotto · M
@Addictedtoglamour Thank you...The house I now live in, I had custom-built.
