Do you think social workers should take over certain issues the police are currently tasked with?

Recently there has been a vast concern with Police work and what officers are tasked to do. Some people think that social workers should take over these tasks. Situations such as:

• Attempt of suicide.
• Domestic Abuse.
• Domestic Disturbance
• Run Away
• Well-fare Check

Sheila Vakariha, a social worker. Thinks that social workers have their own missions to accomplish and are more focused on their own workplace.

“ Despite the challenging nature of this exercise, social workers should stop imagining new settings in which to work, and instead consider what it would take to create a world where our profession is rendered obsolete. What new policies and community systems are needed for social workers to no longer be necessary?”

What is your input? Mind you any disrespect toward anyone or anything will be removed.

Ever had interaction with a social worker? Five minutes in you wish you could call the cops on them. They are the singularly most clueless people I have ever met. Their entire goal is to ruin people's lives all the while shuffling paper.
