Do you believe in reincarnation? And if so, do you think we find our way back to certain people every time?

Nope but it is a really thought provoking concept

@BiasForAction I’m even more of a hippie now than I was when I asked this question 🤣
Dshhh · M
not even. dead is dead. Enjoy the Now
idk about reincarnation?... but i do think we accidentally on purpose run into the same people ..meaning we are meant to run into them and do it without realizing it. Not exactly sure why . i think its so complicated to the point that we can't even understand it. just my thoughts and opinion.

So fate? I've never really believed in something like that, but there are a couple of people in my life who make me think maybe it's real
@PraiseBeToYevon: I dont know if its fate or the will of the mind going where it needs to be...i think it's the latter.
Myzery · 41-45, F
Reincarnation is my worst fear, so I do not wish to believe in it.
Myzery · 41-45, F
I don't want to do it now...I really don't want to have to do it again!
Peaceful · F
@Myzery: I hear you.
Coppercoil · M
@Myzery: same
Peaceful · F
Yes. And if there is more to learn from that person/energy....absolutely
Pherick · 41-45, M
I think its possible, but with 6 billion people on the planet, how can we keep running into the same ones? I think if we are re-incarnated, we must do so to meet new people and keep learning.
PraiseBeToYevon · 41-45, F
So do we eventually learn what we are meant to learn, and then we don't come back after that life?
Pherick · 41-45, M
@PraiseBeToYevon: There are some "religious" and spiritual beliefs like that. That once we obtain that higher level of consciousnesses we no longer come back, but move on.

Actually a really good book I read once called "Conversations with God" that espoused that idea. That we are really all just pieces of a divine, here on Earth so that the divine can experience himself/herself/itself.

Kind of an interesting thought.

@PraiseBeToYevon: we are here to remember unconditional love for ourselves and each other. When we cross we have a life review and see all that we did to help or hurt others. We feel what each person feels. after that, we get to decide when we want to come back and what new lessons we want to learn.

No and no. I believe in recurrence which is based in nature. Reincarnation and rebirth are reliant on magic.
Pherick · 41-45, M
So what is the difference between recurrence and reincarnation?
SW-User
@Pherick: Reincarnation usually refers to what Hindus believe- although the Buddhist reincarnation (rebirth) is somewhat related. Apart from the obvious reliance on magic in the Hindu concept there are other differences from recurrence. In recurrence there is no specific memory we might draw from to 'find our way back' and no magical propulsion system. This is usually a Buddhist concept anyways. In recurrence our recreation as people is randomized. We could end up on any peopled planet. In recurrence there is no sense of finality- as in earning either heaven or non-existence. In recurrence we are always people and never lesser creatures. These are some of the differences.

i think so.. i've been a redundant PITA every incarnation.

what ever else... else ever what.
Aidan · 26-30
I believe but its not common. People can come back to refulfill their purpose.
PraiseBeToYevon · 41-45, F
I don't have any idea what I believe. A friend and I were talking about it the other night, and it was just an interesting conversation
karmameter · 46-50, M
yes. there is rebirth. we can control the circle we land up in to by correct understanding and sincere tireless effort.
Magenta · F
No, with a capital N.
Pherick · 41-45, M
So thats a maybe?
Magenta · F
Perhaps.

;-)
Coppercoil · M
