I'm about to quit my job over this virus deal.

For one, it's bad enough that my "manager" doesn't think one thing of employees coming to work sick. He expects us to come in sick as it is already. So today I found out our maintenance guy suddenly has pneumonia symptoms and is going to stay home. When I told my boss, he laughed and blew it off and said oh he doesn't have it. Umm. Ok how do you know, and why aren't you the least bit concerned the germs could still be floating around here!

It is federal regulations to stay home if sick, and if you need to go somewhere put on a mask and stay 6 feet away from everyone! All people who have to work and go out should practice 6 feet social distancing, hand washing with soap 20 seconds then rinse, and cough in sleeve and turn away from people and food so you don’t make people sick! I saw people stand close in line yesterday at the store! Don’t! And don’t cough!

While I understand that some people are skeptical of all this virus talk, I really do think when somebody claims to be experiencing symptoms of pneumonia that it should be taken seriously. And yes if my boss did not take that seriously I would really consider also where I am working.

Bad management is always a problem regardless of a virus. It sounds like he's just an asshole. I'd find another job if they don't care if you're sick or not. That's just bad news.
