I think it is eventually needed as well. Otherwise the rich and powerful nations will continue to abuse the not so well off nations and no one will be watching out for the common good.
We have to strike down corporations and the wealthy first though. Otherwise they would just use their economic power to control it, just as they do our smaller governments today.

That idea is scary and naive at best. We are not all the same. If 99% of governments now are courupted and we know that having absolute power corrupts absolutely then why would you diminish your individual power by diluting your voice as a citizen of at least one country where your needs are still extremely small. Really think this idea over.
