What are these pride parades/festivals about and why do they dress so weird?

What's weird is pretty subjective. Think about it, women made to dress as black tents in many islamic countries isn't exactly normal for everyone.

@SapphicHeart in which part did i ridiculed LGBT? It was a simple question and i liked your answer. No @Miram isn't giving me any hard time. She's just trying to justify herself talking against a particular religion. All her posts cry for attention against Islam. Once again let me be clear. I'm not against LGBT just because i choose a best answer. I am against people who spread hatred against a religion which is about peace. And no i don't need to learn Arabic to be a Muslim.

Choice of BA. Acknowledging my reply with a heart means nothing when supporting such responses as freak show, and go read your own responses around this post... You might fool yourself... Be my guest, enjoy your life of ignorance !

The rainbow flag symbolizes the many colors of the LGBT community, and as such the parades / festivals are festive like this. Some people will dress up in costumes. You can compare it to the Samba carnivals around the world, where lots will join and be dressed up in colorful costumes too.

Being gay and because they're gay,
It's just a celebration of not having to hide who you are.

Well if it makes you feel better, I wore a cute pink dress with flowers when I went to pride 😌

Cher's looking good for her age.
Self-expression. The right to allow the inner spirit to show on the outside.
