If you're not a professional in a particular area do you refrain from giving an opinion?

A woman or a man is dressed poorly, a little guidance could help them improve dramatically are you keeping quiet?

if they're directly asking I'd politely give my opinion. If I didn't know them well I wouldn't unless they asked, since it's not my place to judge someone's chosen style or clothing

If I am friends with the person or care about them at all I give guidance

@SW-User someone on the internet asking one of those, how do I look questions?

@Davemcdave I would be honest but our opinions really are subjective in that matter because what you or I thinks looks good doesn't always mean what someone else thinks looks good etc. If it's about a professional job etc then I can chime in as I've been a hiring manager before and there is an etiquette and attire to wear in a professional environment
Yes unless I know them pretty well. Even then I’d be careful what I said and probably say it once.

I tend to give advice when asked, and not before.
Nothing is worse than an opinion no one asked for.

Mr. Blackwell is gone. He can never be replaced. So don't try.
Even if I were a professional in that area I wouldn’t presume to advise unless the person asked me.

@bijouxbroussard would buying them something help? If you know them?
@Davemcdave I suppose it would depend on how close we were.
