When you dream do you always seem to be someone else?

4meAndyou · F
Not always. I have had a few dreams where I look in the mirror, and see myself, and I am not me at all. I always wondered if our souls might wander while we sleep, and attach themselves to this one or that one...who are living their everyday lives and for that one moment, in the dream, we believe we really ARE that person.

However, the common understanding of the phenomenon is that everything we "see" in a dream is a symbol. If you dream you are taller or more athletic or more confident, then you might be trying to work out related issues in your subconscious.

@4meAndyou that is exactly what I'm talking about. Maybe we move amongst the spiritual planes.

@Gentlequill I believe that is a possibility...because anything is possible...and the paranormal realm is real.
No, I'm always me in my dreams.

I've had a couple of strange dreams like that, in which I looked like a different person, but I think that I was still myself, just in a different body. But in almost all my dreams, I've just been myself.

How do you mean?

I don't see myself in my dreams. They're POV style. However sometimes I am my younger self in those dreams
