If someone you worked with offended you would you run and tell your boss?

We have this new upper level manager and I swear to god she has been targeting me all day long. I didn't even do anything to her. She is only a single level higher than me and I know more than she does. Anyway she was drilling me and the other lower level managers about our biggest challenges on the job and we were all talking afterwards and it made us feel inadequate and like we didn't know how to do our jobs when we do.

She wouldn't let the morning manager do his job. I was the mid shift manager and she wouldn't let me do my job and she wouldn't let the night one do her job either. She would micromanage us to death and feed people wrong information. I had to go behind her a few times and let my coworkers know the right information.

The thing that made me the angriest is when I joked about being messy over in my area. I am disorganized but it works for me. She then made a comment about if I was a super hero would my name be "messy" or "lazy lump". This made me angry because I work hard and I'm far from lazy at work. I coldly replied oh I'm far from lazy thank you very much and went back to doing my job. A few coworkers nex to me looked shocked and asked me what that was about. I honestly had no idea. It's like lady you just met me a few days ago and you do not know me or any of my coworkers.

She was making snarky comments to everyone all day long and I couldn't stand how she was talking to everyone. I felt like it was my job as a manager to bring it to our bosses attention. He told me he would speak with her because name calling no matter the intent is unacceptable and alarming from someone in management.
I’d wipe mah dick in her coffee mug.. it’s the small things 😇

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout What I'm going to do is keep being persistent and annoying until something is done about this. I am skilled in being annoying and persistent.

Start recording her.have others do the same then take them to upper level managment and show them
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@KimmyGary At least I have witnesses as to what happened. I have already saved the email exchange between our boss and myself.

You may have to go to HR.

@ProfessorPlum77 I'm going to see if our boss does anything first. If the problem isn't solved and this continues I will keep going higher. I do not come to work to be disrespected.

@ProfessorPlum77 One thing about HR, at least in my line. They're not there to protect you from the organisation, but to protect the organisation from you. If you can make your interests congruent with HR's, ie in this case gently suggest the legal risk, HR can be quite helpful.

She was undermining you. Belittling you to your subordinates, behind your back too I'm sure. She is disruptive and bad for organization and continuity in the workforce. I've seen some real neat freaks and most stop there. Good luck with your rumor monger and she will spread them.
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@kentex35 She even said she is a self proclaimed control freak. From what I've heard another coworker of mine also wrote our boss about her today as well with her own incident. We are all covering our backsides.

@Addictedtoglamour CYA as you should with this one. Just because she admits it doesn't excuse rude behavior. Send she would try to create a community. She's freaking distrust do everyone will have only one place to air it out.

I am not a snowflake, but now you opened the door and do not expect any favours from me, or cover your arse because you are a useless bastard / bitch
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@nedkelly What did I ever do to you?
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Addictedtoglamour I was talking about your co-worker
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@nedkelly Ah ok gotcha. Sorry I had misunderstood

It would depend on what they said to me. My manager once told me to kill myself and that’s when I did 🤷‍♀️
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
@MorbidCynic Being told to kill yourself is highly inappropriate and possibly illegal.
