What’s your opinion on age difference in a relationship?

For a start just saying love is love doesn't get you anywhere, it's like saying I am who I am. Why do you love someone? Usually it happens because your attitudes, hopes, needs, desires are compatible. And that often evolves from a common ground of shared history, interests, values. And that common ground in turn can be easier to find with someone of a similar age. None of this alone is necessary or sufficient for love but in the broad scheme of things it improves your chances.

Most of all a significant age difference means you grew up listening to different music.

In my social circle there are many "age gap" relationships. BUT.... when my friends ask what is appropriate I remind them that marrying an 18 year old when you are in your 50's is a recipe for disaster.

I recommend HALF your age + 10 as a minimum. So if you are 50, you probably shouldn't be looking below 35.

Having said that... Of course there are exceptions and there are many VERY Mature younger folks out there....

In general, no, in reality, yes it can matter a lot.

There's 14 years between my gf and I. I was in my 40s when I met her(she was in her 20s). So, you can infer: 1. Age doesn't matter that much; 2. I still have game.

I agree. Age should not be a factor, although I can't necessarily see myself dating a 60+ year old.
