From my perspective, we are entrenched in our ignorance about the rest of the world because, unless we dig for it, the main news organizations focus solely on our own issues. Most people develop an isolationist mentality due to that. If you ask someone here about anything outside of this country, most won't be able to give you an informed opinion.

You've brought up a politician here that I assumed most people outside of the U.S. aren't familiar with. Do your main news sources focus a lot on U. S. politics and concerns? I'm really curious what information other countries receive about the world news.
