Why do white people love to go camping in the forests at night or some other risky scary places?

Right? I’m like — my grandparents didn’t travel thousands of miles and bust ass for decades so I could sleep in the friggin woods.

It's for the trout fishing, in tiny lakes hidden inside dead volcanoes. It's for watching wild deer taste my coffee because it has hazelnut creamer. Ever had morning coffee with wild deer?😁
It's for spring water straight out of a cliff face that tastes better than any water anywhere.
Marmots that want to steal your stuff and play games.
Many reasons, but I don't think it has to do with being 'white".

To get away from people, see nature, peaceful, relaxing. But I suppose it’s just like me not understanding how someone could live in a metro area lol

Nothing scary about the forests as long as you remember that the animals were there first.

As one of those white people I don't see it as either risky or scary. I'm in the forest alone more nights than not and always feel safe. Anyone one can do it. And I wish more would. Nature doesn't care about race. All nature demands is a little respect and humility. If you can't do that you shouldn't be out there. But if you can, which is something really easy to do, a whole world opens up.
