How not to feel like you're wasting your life, when you're stranded at work for 9 hours of your day?

I don't want to ever think "I wish this day will finish faster", because I'd be basically wishing to die faster.

I love my job

@SW-User Yeah, but do u actually want to spend your time there, every day, a 3rd of a day?
SW-User
@Dan193 Not always. But, my kid is in school, and my school, so at least we're closeish
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@SW-User I see.

You need a goal to work toward.

Something like....."Every hour i work that's somebody's Christmas present sorted !"

Or...."Every hour i'm at work i'm closer to my vacation !"

@Picklebobble2 Good point, I'll try it today after my break is over.

Find something else to do.

@Dan193 so what's the plan and what's a step you can do towards that today?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@SW-User sigh. Today? Only thing that comes to mind is job searching, anything else, it's to late for it today. It's evening here.

@Dan193 How about get a start on a longer term plan and put something on paper today. That will make tomorrow more meaningful and tolerable because you are not only putting in time, you are working towards a better future.

I'd rather be at home and having some income through something so I don't need to work. And waste time as you say but oh. Feels when I get home like whole day passed and the rest of time passes in preparing for tomorrow day for working

Be looking for a better one in the meantime, unfortunately. There's no good solution to this that I can see
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@DDonde No instant solution for sure. Just a gradual one maybe. Unless u don't need a job. x)
