This chick really tried to tell me if she says something that seems offensive, it's not actually offensive cause its her opinion.

Well, she may have a point. There's [i]seeming[/i] offensive and then there's actually [i]being[/i] offensive. Just because some might find her opinion offensive doesn't make it inherently so.
