Do you think this is fair ?

You work all your life to pile up money; but once you stop working, you must pay your monthly expenses . all until you lose everything you piled.

thats insane. its like you worked for nothing.

so its like you always have to work to pay your expenses and pile up money

Remember in this game we call life,no one said it’s fair.

Ideally, your money is working for you at that point, and your expenses aren’t cutting into it. Of course - not everyone gets there.
I would pile it into a retirement account and CDs / annuities - and BTW is there not social security > ?

At your age, with good planning, you can retire comfortablely without having to work after 67.

Question more. You're getting there. Are we really meant to work at a job we like at best to retire at 65...or is there more meant for us? 🤔
I think late 20s is a perfect time to think about buying a house.

@MarmeeMarch you're quite optimistic. I calculated with my salary and it would take 30 years of work to be able to afford a nice house
@pikminboy Thats exactly when you theoretically should have it paid off. OK - so salary is the issue then.

Well yeah you have to work to pay your bills
That's just kind of how the adult world works.
