Was the 1920’s as good as people say?

Or has it been romanticized.

The past is largely romanticized. However it was a very good time to get stupidly rich.

It's a good thing we've learned the lessons of the past, and will never again see the combination of a red-hot economy and intense inequality in the decade following a major financial crash.

Well, for many veterans who came back from WW1 it wasn't so great. And ironically three names that were prominent in WW2 were the same names that were under direction of their superiors to rout the veterans. No, IMO for those veterans it was not. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/07/28/the-veterans-were-desperate-gen-macarthur-ordered-u-s-troops-to-attack-them/?noredirect=on

I can't remember. Everyone was pretty much drunk the whole time

I hope it’s as good. That’s my go to time period. The excitement of being a mobster and having a tommy gun 😏

The past is almost universally romanticized.
Romanticized, like the past generally is.

@bijouxbroussard What, 15% of the population belonging to the KKK isn't appealing to everyone?
@CountScrofula Yeah, and having known people who lived during that time, where they were, lends some context. 😒
