i need help with this math question who can help??

The women total cholesterol level have the mean 219 and standard division is 41.6. If 200 women are randomly selected about how many would you expect to have a total cholesterol level less than 250.

I'm assuming the data are normally distributed. You should be able to use the z-test tables. Less than 250 means that it includes everyone less than the mean, plus those between the mean and 31 from the mean (250-219=31). Divide 31 by the standard deviation 41.6 to get 0.7542. Look this value up on a z-table and you come up with .7704 at 0.754 and .7734 at 0.755. Interpolating 0.7542 you will come up with a z value of about .7717. Multiply 200 by 0.7717 and you get 154.34. Since you can't have .34 women, your answer should be 154.
