Do you think society needs feminism?

Some people, men and women believe that feminism is essential for women’s rights. Some people do not and some people think feminism today is rather radical.

Personally as a Norse Pagan I believe we (men and women) are fully capable of being independent without the say so of other people.

What are your thoughts on feminism

I hate extremists of any sort. I think many movements sadly get hijacked by rads. But I do think people can be independent but still equal.

@canusernamebemyusername a great explanation! I also seem to think we forget to respect what makes us different. Some people want to show that they can do the same when we can also celebrate what makes us different

Feminism is simply an idea. If you want it to be reality, you MAKE it happen. You don't need to be vocal, or have some kind of "movement" to make it happen. You simply just do it.

I think in westerners countries we ave laws that guarantee men and women are equal, in what part of society are they not equal? What can they not do that men can ?

History has demonstrated that women have gotten a short draw in many respects...
If society were more open and men not so insecure then an ongoing balance could be had.
