I wanna lose weight! Gimme some good suggestions please?

DDonde · 31-35, M Best Comment
What worked for me was calorie counting. Actually making an effort to stay within certain daily caloric limits. I was obese when I started and I'm now at a healthy weight. Now, if you're not overweight/obese, you'll probably have to put in more effort than I did. Additionally, the way I did it took about a year (or maybe a little over) to accomplish. You could probably do it faster if you're more strict about it, but that's how I managed to do it.

Drink soy milk instead of dairy milk. Soy milk contains less carbs, less fat, and more wonderful protein! It'll be hard to adjust at first, but you'll get used to it. In general, watch your carb intake. Drink matcha tea as it's the only scientifically-supported weight loss drug. Cut out the soda, even if it's diet, as zero-calorie sweeteners can cause you to crave real sugar. Go vegetarian because meat is tied to heart disease. If all else fails, talk to your doctor about a fecal transplant because some people just have really crappy gut bacteria.

And so you don't have to look it up yourself, it's poop pills. Put the poop will be encased in... pill, so you won't have to see, taste, or smell it. It sounds gross, but it's known to be effective.
@BlueVeins Wow I never heard this method but it sounds interesting! I'm a little embarrassed to admit my belly is not as flat as I like! I drank so much beer 😣
BlueVeins · 22-25
@RadiantRuby Yeah, cutting out the beer in general is a good idea. There's too much sugar in beer, and it can cause dehydration, which slows your metabolism. If you still want to get wasted, I would recommend Everclear because it contains much less sugar; just drink very carefully and keep some water on hand!

[c=#BF0000]First and foremost you need to stop eating 😐.. like just stop eating. You should feel sick at the thought of eating and possibly getting fat. Once you start to get really hungry after long intervals of starvation and exercise eat a tiny amount of healthy food which doesn't have calories.. your weight will drop like a rock.. then you slowly increase on your amount of food once your weight is dropping steadily. But starting strict is necessary otherwise you'll never get into the rhythm[/c]

@BlueVeins [c=#BF0000] Starvation as in eating only one meal a day and that meal consists of stuff which has very few or negligible calories.
And this is only the initial step like for a week. Losing weight really isn't that easy and you need to disciplined about.. I started increasing my amount of food once my weight was dropping and set a limit to how much I should healthily eat in one day [/c]
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User A week is way too long to be doing that sort of shit. After a week, you'll be drained of energy and it'll affect your academics/job performance.
SW-User
@BlueVeins [c=#BF0000]That's bound to happen when you decrease your amount of food no matter which way you do it 'cause your body won't be used to it[/c]

Be mindful about your eating habits and exercise using a combination of cardio and strength training
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
Depends, I wouldn't be able to give suggestions unless I knew how you were eating. But in short calorie restriction, a few days of cardio plus a few days of strength training (a good combination) and you'll most likely lose weight. Cardio is excellent for losing weight and the strength training tones up those muscles/loose skin.

Don't restrict calories too far, if you go way under you won't have energy and it will leave you feeling hungry. Plus going too low puts your body into famine mode where your calories will be stored as fat. Most women can safely lose two pounds a week by doing 1,200 calories a day with 1,500 calories being the maximum (lose one pound a week that way.)

Here's what a 1,200 non-vegan calorie day looks like:

Here's what a vegan 1,500 (still in a caloric restriction) calorie day looks like:

Cardio mostly, biking is great, so is climbing, even swimming does good for it because you're exercising your entire body. Although it's even better to gain that weight back in muscle by lifting weights.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick y’know I overheard a conversation on the bus years ago, between this older guy and this younger woman. He was talking about swimming and he said if you swim too much you’ll actually compress your spine. He was talking about over the course of years of dedicated swimming.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus Spine compression, huh? I've yet to hear that.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick it was a rather random conversation between two strangers.

I started taking meds that made me nauseous and lost 14 pounds in a couple of months. I don’t recommend taking metformin unless you really have diabetes though.
@Pfuzylogic How many times a day did you vomit?
Pfuzylogic · M
@RadiantRuby I didn’t vomit.
I just drastically cut down my calorie intake because I wasn’t hungry at all.
That also helps BS level!

Try the Keto Lifestyle! I've lost 70-80 pounds since August. I lost 10# of water weight in the first week and kept it off. I renewed my gym membership and started with just cardio.
My girlfriend hooked me up with a personal trainer and paid for the first two sessions. She and I go to the gym together now and go 4-5 times a week.
My blood pressure is down, my A1C (T2 Diabetic)is in the normal range and has been since September.

stop stuffing your face might be a good place to start lol

Well I heard that if u stop drinking coffee or pop that would help. Watch what you eat. You can work out. Not really lifting weight but more cardio. Take the stairs then elevator. Ride your bike every few day's if u have one
mrbuddhawannabe · 56-60, M
Cut out sugared foods. Cut out/down processed food. Focus on fresh veggies and fruits. Exercise at least three times a week, 30 minutes of vigorous movement.
Lostpoet · M
Drink plain lemon juice in the morning with a bowl of oatmeal or something healthy.
@Lostpoet I will try everything I can , I need to lose 45 pounds asap!
Lostpoet · M
@RadiantRuby why so much? Diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. Start stretching each morning and focuse on having a healthy breakfast. After a while you can start doing aerobic exercises and then some free weights. You'll look and feel amazing in two or three months.
deadgerbil · 22-25, F
Look to eat less calories than what you burn, about 500 less.

Do some exercise like cardio, etc.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Stop looking for shortcuts. Control your portions and exercise.
Intermittent fasting does wonders.
User41 · 36-40, M
Cut off one of your legs
@User41 No! 🤣😣
Montanaman · M
I'll get back with you... 👍🤗
@BlueMetalChick The thing is, I'm hoping losing weight will help me look better! But drugs make you ugly and trampy! Yuck what's the point of losing weight only to look like a skank!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@RadiantRuby Well obviously you shouldn't shoot heroin to lose weight. It has a high chance of killing you. And if it doesn't, it ruins your life.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick yeah I meant it as a joke, I would never really recommend heroin.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
🤯 several hours long hot and intense sex
