How is an affordable way to get therapy?

I don't have insurance but I can save some money, it coats $80 dollars an hour where I live! After years of on going problems I think I might need it, I'm tired of talking to people who don't care so if I can get some sound advice and pay for it, it would probably make me happy!
Go to a bar...sit next to a drunk and he'll be happy to listen to you. And sometimes the advice you get back is a lot better for free than you have to pay others to give you.
@RadiantRuby Oh..........no. Didn't know that. Sorry.
@anythingoes477 Got ya! Hahhaha OK don't worry but I could have been one!
@RadiantRuby Thank god was you were kidding. Wanna have a drink and get to know each other sometime?

Can you say why you think you need therapy ...sometimes to an outsider things can be sorted out more easily than you think..

Are you away from these people now..being abused sucks...none of this is your fault..you must have been let down by people close to you, but you can change your life, I know what happened to you cannot be erased but once you start believing what happened to you was not your fault you can start feeling good again....@RadiantRuby
@Platinum Thanks I am trying not to punish myself further by having unhealthy habits to cope like smoking and drinking! I cut off most of them except my mother who shows no remorse at all!

You sound like a very intelligent girl, your mum just wants to shut it out...you are innocent and should move on with your life, if you need to talk just message me, talking always helps...@RadiantRuby
Support groups are better than therapy, in my humble opinion.
@JustLikeGreta Thank you, I will look into it. I'm doing self punishment and self sabotage and I'm sick of it. I know I deserve a better life and I'm capable of a lot more! But I feel crippled
@RadiantRuby Best of luck to you...💜

I am not familiar with "the system" in your region, but here in the States there are community mental health centers that often offer therapy on a "sliding scale" fee schedule.
@Byron8by7 Maybe I will start writing about my bad experiences to cope and over them!

@RadiantRuby That sounds like a good part of a whole strategy - writing, support group, therapy - that could be very beneficial.
