Why do I always ignore my intuition?

I have an annoying neighbor, I've actually been posting about her for a while now. I just don't like her, she's very intrusive. I tried Everything from ignoring her when she comes over unannounced but she just won't go away. She's like that Jim Carrey character from the cable guy! Anyway she gives me bad vibes and I don't like her! I also don't have the heart to be bluntly rude and tell her to piss off. Basically I gave her hints that I'm not into her friendship but she's probably stupid or has no dignity. If she had a shred of dignity she would get the point. She has other friends but I'm sure they are equally annoyed by her. So we have a mutual friend should I ask the mutual friend to tell her that I don't want her friendship or should I tell her myself?

If you don’t put your foot down she’ll continue. My aunt was a newlywed in the 1930’s and had a neighbor who would come over and visit each morning and she’d stay all day and talk and talk. Of course she was lonely, but back in those days if you wanted fresh bread or whatever you had to bake it yourself, and there was laundry & ironing, housekeeping and errands and grocery shopping to be done. Fall behind and soon you’d have a heck of a time catching up. She finally told her she needed her own time to get things done around the house and it pissed the woman off and she didn’t come back.

@RadiantRuby She’ll get her feelings hurt but she seems dense if she doesn’t understand you need that. I don’t know why some people think that they can come over and stay all day and tie up other people’s time. A short little visit might not bother you so much but as you said you don’t like her vibes so she needs to ski-doodle back to her own place. It’s up to her to fill her free time with people who want her around. She seems needy in a way.
@cherokeepatti Yup she's very clingy, I'm a chicken I will talk to our mutual Friend to let her know that I don't want her to stay in contact with me anymore, can I give you a little gossip she drove our other neighbor who was depressed over the edge and she had to be hospitalized lady even had the balls to visit the poor lady in the hospital. So she told her husband in the psych ward that lady pushed her over the edge! Ever since then I hate her more! Knowing her she has that ability to drive someone mad, heck I suspect she's some kind of a witch ( I hope I don't sound delusional! Also another neighbor moved because of her 2016 lol it's not just me she's annoying... Remember 90's movie what about bob

@RadiantRuby we had a neighbor who was visibly mental when I was a teen and lived in the country. That woman would come over and yap and talk for hours every day, mostly lies about stuff.. I told my aunt to tell her to leave but she said it wasn’t hospitable to do that. She even came to my sister’s wedding uninvited (it was at a small rural church) and made a spectacle of herself, wearing a skin-tight silver glittery pantsuit and popping up in the aisle and taking photos while the ceremony was going on. The woman was destructive in various ways, she had her toddler daughter taken away & gave birth to two more. The neighbor had met her in a bar and felt sorry for her and married her. She ended up writing so many checks she just about bankrupted him, and she kept the house in a total nasty mess, didn’t work and ran around all day visiting people. He ended up divorcing her after she ruined his finances and moving to town. She married someone else that felt sorry for her & ended up her son-in-law shot her & her husband (I saw the bullet wound scar on her head, grazed her & not a deep shot)....then she married an old security guard at the the hospital where my sister worked, he felt sorry for her. She ended up getting him into credit debt hell and he shot & killed himself. That’s when my aunt finally told her she wasn’t welcome to the house and turned her away. She’d always manage to come back to the house and try to visit with them in between marriages.

Spray her with water and tell her with a firm "no"

@Eternity Well everyone is different I'm just good natured and I hate hurting people's feelings she clearly knows that she's unwanted she's probably sick in the mind I feel sorry for her but my place is not a drop in center.
