How long does it take to replace a toilet?

SweetMae · 70-79, F
Not long if you know what you are doing and have all the supplies ahead of time.

Depends....the hardest part is the lifting & getting rid of the old one. If you hire someone get a second opinion as someone will try to overcharge you! I've done it in a couple hours, I'm sure a pro can do it in less time. The seal is key! Some say the kitchen is the heart of the home but the toilet is key! Good luck.

I have fitted some in less than an hour and some can take several hours.

About 4 hours when we had ours done. He had to cut the old cast iron pipe out which probably added an hour and an incredible amount black dust!

Not long, less than an hour, really more like 30 minutes unless you run into problems. This does not count disposing of the old toilet.

Depends - the job is never finished until the paperwork is done

It takes an hour to fit it, and half a day for the sealant to dry.

@SW-User so I can't use it until it dries?
SW-User
Not in the first two hours because there’s glue that seals the wall bend to the sewer chute that needs to be dry@SkeetSkeet
