My wife and I went to a concert tonight. We had a really good time so I thought I would see who else was coming to town.

Yes! I would pay $3,900 a ticket.
No way! I'll stay home and listen to a CD.

Phil Collins is coming on my wife's birthday. We both like him so I checked on seats and pricing. For front row dead center of the stage was $3,900 per ticket. Yes per ticket. That means for the both of us to go it would cost us $7,800. Is that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard? Who would pay that kind of money for a evening out?

I guess if money were no object but I would still feel like I was getting gouged, ridiculous.

That’s more like it, and you had a good time! Put a Phil Collins Live concert on TV with stereo sound if you have it, get a good bottle of wine or whatever pleases you and some great take out food instead!

It's not quite the same, but I wanted to take my dad to see Steely Dan about seven years ago; I looked at tickets and nosebleed seats were 350-ish, while front row were 1200+. We didn't end up going, but we got to see Donald Fagen with a different band a couple of years ago, which was awesome! :)

@Stereoguy That's awesome man! My uncle and aunt have one, and they do a lot of traveling with it. :) I'm disabled, so that kind of travel isn't really possible much, but it's all good. xD

I would xD Honestly, if I was financially at the level of being able to buy a house, I'd pay that much for a ticket to see my favourite band. As long as it's my favourite. In your case favourite interpret.

Maybe those seats go to a winner of some kind of contest, or a gift from where one is employed at?

@Stereoguy You two could be my guests. 😁

@Stereoguy Nobody that has only 3,900 to their name is going to spend it all on a ticket. That's ludicrous. You're underestimating poor people.

Yes....but there legacy will live on as long as people still listen and encourage the progressive rock style in the future.
