So this happened. I need to talk about it

I just moved yesterday in to an upstairs apt and my kids are super excited about it .bi have none of my furniture in the place yet til Saturday but I have been moving boxes with me vehicle . So last night my downstairs neighbor came out while I was in the hall and asked me in kinda an rude nosey way if I was moving upstairs. I replied yes and she to then goes really crabby like. " How many kids? " I tell her two . And she hen goes " oh that's nice " any walked any .nothing else no hi have fun moving or nothing. literally 4 hours later I got a call from my landlord about a noise complaint 馃え I told her about what happened and now I am just a little annoyed that I have to live with this crabby lady under me.

Well, realistically, kids make more noise than the average adult. Add into the equation the echos chamber that is an empty apartment, and yeah, it's going to be pretty God damned noisy.

I suggest, once your furniture comes, you (AND your kids) bring her a nice cake or something.
You may not consider it necessary to apologize, but even an insincere one goes a long way towards making others soften towards you and your situation.

Who knows, if the kids are nice and polite, speak to her with respect, etc.; she may offer to babysit sometime.

Once you have had to deal with unruly kids and noise for so long you get to the point where you have no patience left. Others before you have ruined it.

Try killing her with kindness...a sample of stuff you bake, a ride to the grocery store, invite her to go on a picnic with the family...

While you always FEEL like smacking them upside the head, it's way easier to figure out a way to live amicably.

There are people who just won't be wooed - but even those you can't smack upside the head. It's a dumb law. Some folks just need head-smacking,

@Mamapolo2016 yeah I don't plan on starting a fued with her I'll be able to live just fine with her complaining about my kids playing being kids. She can either live with it or move out.

It鈥檚 smart not to start a feud. @Stray4life

@SW-User truly. She'll still be annoyed but if she's familiar with them she'll be like "sigh... theyre growing up"
