Have you ever had an unhappy birthday?

My sixteenth was maybe a shade unhappy but it ended in an all night binge of LSD, the meeting of many strange people and of my second girlfriend.

I only had one birthday party growing up. Before we had time to have cake, my brother split his forehead open on a slide. Everyone had to go home. I was disappointed. But we did have the cake when he returned home from the emergency room.

@Cavedweller No. I used to try to celebrate with a picnic. Then I would buy myself an ice cream cake. I know it is the celebration of my birth. I certainly am special. I will make this one one to remember.

We weren't there, so nobody was hurt. My friends brought more gifts to replace the ones that burned. I was even happy to get a pair of socks.

@Cavedweller lol Yeh it sucked. It was a youth detention centre (borstal) tough military style regime. But it taught me discipline and did me a favour in the long run.

@Cavedweller Yes July 27th 1984. It was just another day in their I suppose. Can't remember celebrating it lol. But yeah I've been a changed man since 1989 and never looked back. Been reponsible ever since thankfully.
