I have a grandson thats autistic ,,
Get him some cool toys ,,kids will play with him to play with his toys

My Grandson has these magnets in plastics frames ,,,squares and rectangles
he builds things with them ,,and kids just flock to him to play with them too
They are not expensive ,just cool to play with

@rckt148 my son would most likely have ever toy in the whole store lol but with autistic he plays with it for 2 days then get bored of it

@K9security my grandson (we actually have 2 but one is 18 now and trying out living with his Mom )
Both love lego's and those damn magnets
They have a thing about keeping same colors alike ,relating numbers with colors
In 3 days I got those kids to do more then anyone else had in years

I paid close attention to things they kept going back to
turned counting into a game ,,,not all of them are the same
but kids love my house ,,we have lots and lots of toys
but 10 kids have been raised here too
And I make them mind ,,,I don't treat them like they are special
same rules apply to them as everyone else

They want to be like everyone else ,,,I help make that happen

Once everyone stopped treating them like they would break ,made them mind too
they fell right in line ,,they no longer hurt people and do good with others at school
Don't know how old your child is ,,but we have a 4 yr old preeme they keep away from me ,,,,they know I do not tolerate monsters ,,they let her do as she pleases
she is the boss and now they are having trouble finding a school for her ,,,
She can't get along with anyone ,,she is the boss ,,her Mom did that to her
"I can't make her mind ,she is my miracle baby ,,,now she is her nightmare

That is just an example of my experience with special needs kids
I have a 60 yr old Autistic Savant brother in law ,,,He holds a job
he was not suppose to live that long ,,he has been well cared for

Sign him up for something.

@Lostpoet i have but he is very shy
Being “shy” and “outgoing” are not defining characteristics of autism. @K9security

Social media is the very last place any caring person would subject their son to. Especially a place such as this. I'm kinda blown away you think this is a good site, since you've been here a bit.

How old is he? I'd careful lots of crappy people out there looking to take advantage .
Do you read to him?
K9security · 31-35, M
@Spoiledbrat yes i do but he loves to talk
Does it matter more to you to you that he does what he likes or what he needs? As parents it’s our job to tech our children and if we can’t do it we get help. @K9security
