If you could telecommute would you consider downsizing, living in a RV and traveling the country?

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I have had fantasies of doing that but don’t have an RV. And it’s always nice to have a home base. Knew someone who retired from the university and kept the road hot traveling all over the USA, think they’d come back about once a month and take care of things at home and have a little rest.

@Stereoguy You did a lot of work on that home didn’t you? It would be nice to keep both.

Oh yes! Definitely, with my camera and computer of course.
Nonamefornow · 51-55, F
@SageWanderer it’s not for online activities per se. But for saving/editing the pictures I took. That’s much important than WiFi.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Nonamefornow I used to do that but now I wait until I get home.
Nonamefornow · 51-55, F
@SageWanderer Mine can’t wait, I’m sure. 😂
I have been on long road trips and after a few days I want my bed and everything I have for comfort.

@Stereoguy I honestly don't know. From the shows my wife watches, it seems a good sized pickup should be capable of pulling it. To this point, I've not looked into the truck side of the equation too much. I'm almost afraid to. lol I'm kind of guessing the truck will run us nearly as much as the darn trailer.

I would like to travel the country doing the work camper thing. If it was not for medical issues I'd be on the road.

@Stereoguy It is more of an issue that doctors in other parts of the country will not communicate with our doctors here. Long story but it has to do with egos.

It sounds good but I always liked going to work and socializing and having that mental break from home.
