Unfortunately so many American politicians are in the NRA鈥檚 pocket and they, plus many US citizens, consider the tens of thousands of Americans shot dead by their own people each year a price worth paying for the right to bear arms and the NRA鈥檚 right to keep getting rich.

Why do some Americans take offence to this? And why do they resist change to save lives?
Cause nobody goes to mass 馃檮

@JovialPlutonian No. The general public would, simply, panic even more and vilify their law enforcement agencies even more. America provides a substantially fine model for this. While a significant number of Americans can rationalize the actions of their agencies, there is a growing group that cannot with whom the media outlets, keen to boost their profits and readership, exploits, whipping up a frenzy to those who vilify their law enforcement. What all people should be doing is wholly supporting their agencies and being vigilant rather than just sitting back idly and contributing not one whit of good behaviour to their community.

Same deal in Canada. Any problems we have are mostly traceable to American criminals sensing an easy target. They do their wrong and scoot back across the border.
