Interestingly, a friend of mine spent his furlough from action in Vietnam in Kaua’i at the old Kaua’i Surf Resort on Kanapali Beach (Nawiliwili Harbor) at that time.
The site is now the Marriott Kaua’l Beach Resort, which is where I was for my 60th birthday.
