I'm rather tech savvy about certain things but I've got a question about copying pics from my cellphone.

I tried copying my pics to another device, but was unsuccessful. My new phone's just been activated so would like some advice.

Thanks in advance

Some of the newest android phones have a switch option which you can find in settings/ utilities/ switch you just connect the two phones by a cable and press go and it will transfer all your data from the old to the new . Another way would be to select the folders you want to send and use the Bluetooth option although this can take some time if you are transferring lots of data
@monkeysdevil007 Thank you, I'll see what happens and if I'm stuck, I will certainly contact you.

@sensualbeauty1 By the way that's a good choice of phone especially after a Motorola👍️
@monkeysdevil007 It's a beautiful phone and yes I concur. 😊

Is it an apple product? From apple to apple, I believe you can back up your old phone to your iCloud and transfer all your prior phone data to your new phone that way
@ImpeccablyImperfect No but they're both androids. I tried to copy onto my laptop but it was giving me grief. From a Motorola to a Haewei Pro 20. Thanks for responding, appreciated.

@sensualbeauty1 hmmm....I think android offers something like the iCloud....check out google for the name...I think it was called ‘one drive’ or something? That’s likely what you’ll want to use to import your info. :) Good luck! It’s a pain when you get a new device haha
@ImpeccablyImperfect Thanks again, it's a challenge and fun at times. When you're pressed for time a pain in the tush..😊
I'll look into it, gotta love technology though.🙄

multiple ways, depending on phone - bluetooth, email, usb cable, wifi to wifi, text if to another device with texting, save to SD card and move SD to other device, use cloud, etc. etc.
@Neoerectus Thank you for responding, checking my best options, someone had mentioned cloud.
Bluetooth file transfer would probably be the easiest and most universal option.
@AcidBurn Thanks very much for responding, appreciated.
@sensualbeauty1 best of luck!
@AcidBurn Thanks again, I think with all your suggestions it will definitely work. ☺️🤞

Upload the pictures to a cloud drive like if you use hotmail then you have a one drive or gmail also has one

Or you can always just plug the old phone into a computer take the pictures off then put it onto the new
@GeorgeTBH Thank you, tried that but my computer and lspty weren't being cooperative. I've been given some good options thanks to you all, appreciated.

@sensualbeauty1 Well I have a Samsung s9, they come with an adapter to transfer over your date including photos. If one didn't come with your phone shouldn't be hard to find online.
@JimboUk Thank you, everything has gone smoothly so I'm sure all will work out now. Thank you again and everyone for your suggestions, appreciated.

What type of phone? Android to android, apple to android?
@Theliberal OK, thank you appreciated, definitely sounds simplified. I'll try it out and hope they all copy. 🙂

@sensualbeauty1 your welcome! They will all copy, promise!
@Theliberal Many thanks, I believe you. 😊
@sunrisehawk With the help of some good people on here it's complete. 😀
