* If a woman decides to have the child, should the man involved have the ability to opt out of the legal obligations of fatherhood?

abe182 · 46-50, M
What if she wants to abort it but he doesn't 🤔
Whose sperm is it now?
abe182 · 46-50, M
@Curiousguy833 I think if she wants to abort there's no take backs later. Otherwise welcome to parenthood the both of them.
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
I understand what you are saying, and I agree with you in general... but if she has the final opt out without you agreeing (for example) should you not have the option to opt out as well? 🙄🤷🏽‍♂️ #justsaying
abe182 · 46-50, M
@Curiousguy833 I have to agree. Dunno
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Yes. But in order to do so, they must get a vasectomy. If you aren't willing to be responsible for an action you took, even if the result was accidental, then you should not have the ability to repeat the accident.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard probably due to women having babies older?
@KaiserSolze No, it’s actually based more on access to healthcare. Educated women are more likely to have their children later, and they’re also more likely to have good prenatal care.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard makes sense

Not sure how this could be an actual situation other than two people practicing unprotected sex.
Girl wants the baby, guy doesn't. If the guy didn't want the kid, he should have looked more into protected sex and wore a condom.
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@SW-User “heat of the moment” things happen. She decides she wants to keep it or not, guy has to go with the decision no matter if he wants it/ ready or not. Summary
Yeah. Lets enable fathers to be more useless. Thats just what society needs.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
Fathers should have the final say in the abortion of their child. No more useless fathers... problem solved 😁
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
I suppose if they willingly passed the sperm on then they have to take responsibility unless the woman agrees to them having no responsibility.

If the sperm was taken against their will then definitely and the woman should be jailed.

If they agree before hand on this then definitely.
@KaiserSolze "a woman". That's unusual enough to have news articles reporting it. Who was this ? I can name you female serial killers because there aren't that many. Should be the same with female serial rapists.
Fernie · F
@KaiserSolze your argument is weak...I'd like some names and stories. It would be front page news
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@Fernie it was. I'm not Googling up names. Google it.

Ok clearly this is personal for you and I don’t have the energy to dive too deep into this today. This is based on the fact that you continue to use “her bastard” or the bold on the word “first” or the first that you don’t think “accidents” don’t happen like the phase “caught up in the heat of the moment” doesn’t exist.

I am not saying I agree or disagree with you (because it’s a little bit more complicated then that) but I will say thank you for answering because it’s an interesting point of view and leave it at that.
Fernie · F
@Greenbare please just shut your Neanderthal, sexist, devolved, woman hating, mouth you ridiculous old man
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@Fernie haha be easy, the man is clearly going some shit
Rumplesmoothbottom · 36-40, M
No don’t think so. If they’ve done the deed bro. That’s it.

Don’t plum the line if you can’t do the time.

If you can’t pay the upkeep, don’t spread the butt cheeks.

Don’t rock and roll, if you can’t pay the toll.

If you cant be paying Bella, sheath the little fella.
KaiserSolze · 46-50, F
@Rumplesmoothbottom 😂 that's alot of rhymes
No. His right to choose has to do with his seed. If he doesn’t wear a condom, he’s relinquishing that right. He’s not required to pay for a woman’s prenatal care, and she can terminate the pregnancy.. But he can’t abandon the child after birth—just like the mother can’t.
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard I agree with everything you said... apart from the first part? Are you saying safe sex is a man’s responsibility?
@Curiousguy833 I’m saying that if he doesn’t want the responsibility of a child, what he can do proactively is, either use a condom or limit his activities to those that can’t impregnate anyone. His right to choose has to do with where he chooses to leave his seed.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
If he didn't want kid's he should have wore a condom.
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@smileylovesgaming Safe sex is a man’s job, got it! Thanks 😁
@Curiousguy833 If he doesn't want to risk paying child support. If he doesn't care about that possibility, then that's different. But using a condom protects him.
Liling · 41-45, F
No. He sewed the seed, let him reap the responsibility!
One is responsible for one's sperm
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@SoulKey really? 🤨
turbineman40 · 80-89, M
No way! he is responsible
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
When think about it, She gets to decided what happens to that baby. Weather you want to be part of (potentially) your babies life. Should the man not have the option to opt out if the want to keep it... just like you have to agree of that don’t want to keep it... 🤷🏽‍♂️🙄 #JustSaying
Fernie · F
What do you mean when you told me he is going some shit? Don't tell me to go easy until you are a woman and understand how offensive that moron is...young MAN
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@Fernie ...my apologies. I mean no offense, i will never understand what it’s like to be a women. Just curious, and wanted to make people think about the struggles of a man or worse... a father? 🙄🤷🏽‍♂️
Fernie · F
@Curiousguy833 which struggles would those be?
ThatDLguy · 36-40
nope you knocked her up ur responsible for the consequences. and questions like this make me glad of my life chiices :)
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
If you didn't want to go to Minneapolis then why did you get on the train?
Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@Tastyfrzz we both got on the train, yet she can change her mind and get off... yet I still have to go or continue to pay for the ticket? Strange 🤷🏽‍♂️
SW-User
Sure. Dudes opt out all the time by walking out on their kid.
It's not the right thing to do.

@MrK007 it takes two to make a baby. Can I opt out.. or do I get final say?

Curiousguy833 · 26-30, M
@MrK007 “it takes one to determine weather the baby lives or dies”? Is that not a problem right there.. 🤨🙄🤷🏽‍♂️ But let’s say that’s ok is one for argument sake... does the man not have options here?.. “so either want to kill my child or want me to step up when am not ready?”
