Should u pressure someone to be more comfortable with you?

I'd love to convince my ex I'm simply a kind loving person who cares towards her. There was nothing I really did that would convey anything else for her. I can say that close enough, when we cried together over the loss of what we had sitting beside a river, but there is no river that flows back.

So now we are lost together, and she has moved on (I hope).

Surely that goes against the point...pressuring to be comfortable has to be the exact opposite move?
