How many times has a homeless person come up to you and ask for money?

No idea. 50? 100? I have that face. People walk past 10 other people to ask me.

I live in NYC and travel to California regularly. I lost count ages ago.

I've only seen the people standing next to the road with signs. They say need food or need money. I always ignore them. Usually it's a scam.

I’m not sure there aren’t very many homeless people around the area I live...the last time a homeless person asked for money it was when my mom and I went downtown for lunch we had to park at a parking meter because there’s no parking downtown and forgot where we parked so we were walking looking for our car and a homeless person asked if we had any money she was clearly unstable as a lot of them suffer from mental illness she was being extremely aggressive about it😬 and started following us. I usually give when I feel like it or have the money but my mom alwaysss gives because that’s just how she is I guess but neither of us had any cash on us at the time haha so it was a pretty scary experience. She finally left us alone when we crossed the street.

I’ve got a better one. How many panhandlers have offered to let you use your debit card when you told them you had no cash??? 😏

I've had several occasions where people have come up to my car window or me as I am walking by but I'm not sure if those people were homeless or not.

A couple of times and I tell them to get a job and stop being a professional beggar

Every week they come up to me and beg for money, some off them obviously use money for the next high, some of them beg because they have nothing to do whatsoever and some are genuinely homeless and looking for something to eat.

How would i know if they were homeless .. I usually give to people who dont ask and i distrust those who do ask

Once last weekend. Two were from children’s charities, I donated to kids in need. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A lot. At one time I carried around job applications and have them to people who did that.

They just stand on freeway exits with signs. It’s in the manual.
