RoxClymer · 41-45, M
They want to keep you fat and drunk in the hood, keep you from rising out of the hood
SW-User

In most middle income areas the major mega size ultra large supermarkets have now added liquor departments.

I don't believe there is any discernable difference in the level of commerce in liquor.

The only difference between these areas is the failure of super mega supermarkets in the central city to maintain enough profit and hold the line on stock drift to stay open there. It's been tried but pilferage and theft made it impossible to keep those stores solvent.

As for fast food the markets for that cluster those restaurants in the middle income areas within and near major shopping areas. The inner city follows other criteria such as high traffic areas and large lot availability.
Poor people have a higher rate of substance abuse and fast food is cheap. At least it used to be, depends on where you go nowadays.

@GreenGoddess If they're poor, that they can't actually afford liquor or drugs, causes me to doubt that poor people purchase more drugs and liquor.
@SteelHands There's cheap liquor. Not to mention welfare and just because they're poor doesn't mean they don't have jobs.

@GreenGoddess I see now. Thanks for clearing that up.

You know why...
SW-User
@VolpeTredici cause being poor sucks so let's drink to numb the pain
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
@SW-User You stay "happy" and complacent.
... kind of a lot of it in most areas. Well. maybe in the hood too. i think they are merely common finds.
SW-User
Most people in the hood can't afford high quality products.
SW-User
@SW-User unless you a drug dealer
@SW-User but they could afford booze and fast food that is expensive these days
I dont know - gotta ask the owners of the stores
SW-User
It's cheaper than buying healthy foods and drinks.
