Would you ever adopt an animal that was inbred?

Growing up we had a cat who's parents were brother and sister. The cat was a bit slow mentally but was very sweet.

What do you think purebred animals are? They're sometimes prized animals.
They are more susceptible to genetic faults, but yeah I'd get them.
